Our first time incubating and hatching eggs was successful with 32 of 41 hatching.

Well with all the new excitement...
I forgot to plug in the egg turner for round two!
It's day 8 now and I just noticed!

It's a farm innovators 4250 with the auto egg turner - I turned that on today as soon as I realized it had been off the whole time.

I candled a few of the eggs and can see development and movement.

Will they still hatch ok and be healthy? Or will they be deformed / not develop right from not turning?

I know of a few people who set their eggs air sack up and leave them that way the whole time without any abnormal hatching issues. The rotating just prevents the chicks from sticking to a side.

I am very interested to see how it turns out. Please let us know how the hatch goes and if there are any defomaties, I doubt there will be! :)

When I moved a batch of eggs to the hatcher I realized I had forgotten to plug in the turner.

Still had good hatch results.

Update: 26 of the 41 eggs hatched. All are normal and healthy looking with no deformations. Other than one has curled under toes.
