Hello all,
We have 5 Isla Browns. They were laying 4 to 5 eggs per day until fall. Now we get 1 to 2 per day and quite often the shells are so fragile they are either already broken or fall apart when you try to crack them. We give them scratch and calcium supplements. Any other ideas would be appreciated. Really don't want to have to eat them, but are eating a lot and giving very little.
TIA

Is scratch the only feed given?
What is their regular chicken ration, brand and model?
What exactly are the "calcium supplements"?
Scratch is not the only feed given. We fed them Purina layer crumbles which they've eaten since they started laying. We have a storage box with feed tube where they can eat when they want to. The calcium supplements are oyster shells.
