Frozen water bottles

My hens love having frozen water bottles in this heat, I put one in each water tub, and 2 on the floor of the coop, (not the nest boxes) the hens like to stand around by them.

I've been mixing up 'frozen treats' for my chicks. Just water with vitamins and electrolytes in it, plus just a few mealworms, then put it in the run for them to peck at and drink as it thaws. They enjoy pecking at the ice, the cold sips, and they love trying to get to the mealworms.

I bought a mini watermelon, but it froze in my fridge and got mushy, chickens loved it though...

I use them in their wading container, too. Sometimes I'll put one down in their waterer, too. Lasts a bit longer than ice cubes.
