I dont know what to do with my Sebastopol goose, She's got prolaspe!!! I saw her kind of mopy, so I figured I would check her out. I soaked her in warm water for about 15 minutes, she was a MESS. Cleaned her up only to discover she had some maggotts on her. Sure enough her vent was swollen and insides are hanging out. I've tried to place it back in only for it to come back out. Over the week, every two hours I was place it back in, only for it to come out.
Well sadly, her mate was outside looking for her, he took off into the woods only for my neighbor to tell me, one of my geese is in his yard. GRRR, It's the male mate, I grabbed him, got him back home. Put her and him together so he would know she's still around. But her prolaspe shrinks up but doesn't go back in, the only time it gets REALLY bad is when she PUSHES. I felt around in her vent, I don't feel any eggs, nor any stuck poop in her. SORRY for being graphic but you got to do what you got to do to help....
She's drinking but I don't see her eating, she is dripping poop from the prolaspe. I've tried Prep H and even sprayed her bacteria and fungi spray. I'm getting little or no results with her. Not sure what else I can do..
