We have a little flock of mystery gender ducks. Most were bought mid to end of March so around 8 weeks. The brown with blue on wings I'm positive is a female, she is also what I call rude to the chickens and other 4 ducks that were too little to go in the same brooder with them. I'm also pretty sure the khaki cambell is also a female. But the other 4 I'm not sure about. We have cayugas, 1 black swedish and a fawn and white runner in this group that I'm unsure about. We also have a magpie that is younger that I'm unsure of. We ordered 2 crested and 1 fawn and white runner that should be females. No up close pics at the minute but can get some if they are helpful with figuring out their gender. TIA

8 weeks is still quite young to sex visually, but I do believe you’re right about the Mallard + Khaki being hens.

Could you upload a video of their voices to YouTube and link it here? Or try to describe their voices.
Females will be quite loud and make a distinct quack sound, whereas males will be quieter / raspy, or may even still have their baby peep.

I figured it was still a little young but wasn't sure if there was visual signs my kiddos could start looking out for. It's raining pretty heavy right now but can get some videos either later or tomorrow. I do know one of them likes to whistle but i can't tell who exactly is doing it. My daughter said she thinks it might have been the one cayuga but her brother thinks it was the fawn and white runner 😆 also is the Swedish supposed to be shiny like the cayugas or do we maybe have a mixed ducky? Thanks for the info about the quacks

Which are Cayugas? I have ducks that look like the dark one with the white breast in your photo. Mine are mostly black, one with th full white breast and the other is mottled and both have iridescent green and blue. One is slightly smaller than the other and it still peeps and sometimes whistles. The bigger one has been honking for a while yet .

The Cayugas are the all-black ducks. Black with white breast is Black Swedish. You could also post pictures, I can ID them.
