I am set to pick up a rooster tomorrow and would appreciate help in determining his breed.

Looks like a Rhode Island Red to me.
I thought so too, I was concerned with the earlobes being white, because most of my Rhode Island Red have brown/reddish ear lobes. I found this guy online and thought they looked similar but I’m kind of up in the air on this one.

I totally thought his lobes were red, I'm still unsure as they look pinkish. I'm just guessing though.
Also the hen(?) behind him looks a little rough, maybe its just me but it looks like feathers are missing. I would hope the rooster you're getting isn't the culprit. (If I'm correct, again guessing.)

The lady I’m getting him from told me they have one trouble rooster they’re making into soup this weekend and I shouldn’t pick that one cause it’s mean to everything. I’m getting the rooster for free. So if he happens to be a butt hole to my girls I will either rehome or I will be eating chicken noodle soup.
