As you may or may not know I’ve been trying to breed high flyers, but my first pair I had lost my cock bird and the female doesn’t want to mate. Recently I found some for sale as a pair, the ‘bundle’ has a white Chinese owl cock bird, High flyer pair: female blue bar and blue checker cock bird. I’m pretty sure they are being sold as a lot for AU $50, which I think is a good deal for 3 birds.
Here’s some photos:

It can be very difficult to find Serbian Highflyers fairly close nearby so I’m going to take chances. I’ll update this if I get them.

I really like the look of all three! and that seems like a very fair price.:)

I ended up getting the pair of high flyers.

Interesting birds with their crests, short beaks and pearl eyes. They go so high that they look like dots or pin points rather than bird shapes, correct?
Is it the dark cock from your first set of pics?
Best of luck with them!:D

My original Highflyer has a totally different body shape compared to the new ones. She has a long, small body with long flights and tail, whilst the new birds are more plump and have shorter wings. Got some info on the new birds. They were used to get this mans racing pigeons to fly higher. He has had them since they were young, they have 2018 rings on their right legs.

The bird whose closest in the picture is the dark cock from the first pic. And I’m not too sure about how high they go but if I can remember it was difficult to see my original high flyers from time to time. And thanks.

Interesting, does he believe going higher will get him faster returns in races? ... or safer(from BOP) loft training? or ? :)
Probably that it’s safer. Also he’s (I think it’s the same person) been selling some racing pigeons recently, I really like the pied birds but I’m not getting them as my loft is quite full at the moment and I don’t want the homers flying back.
