I read in my waterfowl book that geese do not get intestinal worms like chickens do, but that they get Gizzard Worms, which can be harmful. Is this true? How can I prevent worms in my goslings?

Geese are quite tough, not prone to a lot of diseases and things that chicken tend to get. But gizzard worm can kill them, so it´s good be on top of it. It depends on your land. If it´s clean, not had many birds on it before, then chances are you don´t have a huge risk yet of them getting too many problems. An area that´s quite bird-intensive will be more likely to foster worm problems. I worm mine twice a year, as my ducks go out of my property and may well pick up worms from the other birds about, so they all get done here.I read in my waterfowl book that geese do not get intestinal worms like chickens do, but that they get Gizzard Worms, which can be harmful. 1Tab to 1 gal of water. How much ACV to put in a gallon of water?
I usually give it to mine a couple times a week. It won't kill internal parasites I use ACV only as a tonic for my flock and myself. so once your geese get grown you should worm in late fall before breeding season starts.Should I give it to them every day?
