Hi,

So this week (hopefully) we will finish their outside coop and be moved out they are 7 weeks old tomorrow (I know they should of been outside by now but we had complications but I take them out often)

Any tips of when they do go outside?

I take them outside without any restrictions so they can free roam and they are well behaved and I have showed them their pen but couldn't fully since we're still fixing it up

Thank you all!!! 🐔🐣🐤🐥

As long as your setup is solid, nothing in particular. You might have to put them in their coop yourself for a bit and they might complain for a bit when you put them to bed for the first time. It may be hard, but you must walk away and let them sort it out themselves. They will eventually settle and afterwards they won't miss being inside

Good luck!

There are so many options on how you might house them or manage them it's hard to be specific. Most of us want them to sleep inside the coop. If you can house them in the coop section only for a week or so it can sometimes help train them to put themselves to bed in there. It doesn't always work but it often does.

It's going to be a learning experience for you and for them. Something will not go the way you think it will. You may eventually decide to change something, most of us do. If you need to, come back with questions. But mainly, be patient and enjoy the process.
