Gold Star “pullet”

Hi everyone,

I got some chicks for my broody, but she rejected them. Now they are inside anyway, I got a Gold Star and it’s a hybrid I believe, but I’m suspicious it’s actually a cockerel because of its color? What do you think?

No, I don't think so. GSL cockerel chicks would be a very light, almost buttercream-yellow color. She's too ruddy reddish for me to assume she's not a female. As shown in this hatchery photo:

I’ll keep this thread updated. I picked these two up from a local feed store so idk which hatchery they are from. I usually buy sexed pullets.
