Gold Star a cockerel?

I was pretty frustrated when two out of four EEs ended up being boys. One was DOA so not sure if that one was also boy.To have a sex link Gold Star chick turn out to be a cockerel is shocking. I don’t understand what has happened to Ideal Poultry. This Gold Star is about 8 weeks old.

It’s so disappointing to have 3 out of 8 “pullets” end up being roos. Decimates almost half of my future backyard flock. Last order they sent four of the wrong breed though at least they were females. I’ll be ordering from a different hatchery from now on and no longer recommending Ideal to anyone.

You'd think they could at least get sex linked breeds right, but I guess not. I don't blame you for being disappointed.
