I have 4 golden comets they are about 2 weeks old. And I've read so many comments about this breed that they are really loving and affectionate towards people. But mine always run away when I come near them. I give them treats and they grab it and run to the other side of the brooder. I know they are young and maybe they need time to gain trust, but has anyone else had this issue with their baby chicks? did they grow up to like you more?

This is not about the breed, but about the age/stage they are at. It is entirely natural for them to be fearful of you - to them you are a predator. Aside from giving them treats what are your other interactions with them? You might want to read up on socializing baby chicks as it will help you to make friends with your littles : https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/how-to-socialize-baby-chickens

I've had Golden Comets (one of a number of labels under which Red Sex Links are marketed) over the years and they are generally docile birds. Mine were never quite as friendly as my Black Sex Links, but they can be tamed up. The way to a chicken's heart is through its stomach and there is a good article at http://www.mypetchicken.com/backyar...-run-away-whenever-they-see-me-Can-I-H57.aspx explaining how to tame them. Good luck in taming your Golden Comets.
