does anyone have Golden Laced Sebrights?

I have some and they are extremely flighty and they act more like a wild bird then a chicken we joke about that they would probably fly away with the birds in the winter if we let them go. but is anyone elses Sebrights this flighty or is it just mine?

the ones I knew raised as pets were nice, but the few people I knew that bred them for shows basically didn't socialize them except for a handful for the kids 4H projects. Chickens can be wild things if they weren't properly shown what people are!

I have some gold spangled hamburgs which I feel have some similarities for being more wild and cautious or flighty. The female has always been supremely easy but the male was crazy flighty (which normally it's the inverse.)

What we call The Great Cheesening now makes it to where the Hamburg approaches us and jumps on us looking for cheese.

Not ideal but in small amounts, a slice of American cheese spread out seems to have a high chance of paying them to be your best friend.

Otherwise, just mealworms every single time you handle them. That seems to require more consistency.

Sound a lot like my Olandsk Dwarves. I swear they're born twitchy and suspicious of me. They're tiny and cute as can be, but they are practically feral no matter whether I handle them or not.
