Hello everyone...

I need a good price for 4 goats....

1 billy 4 years old

3 nannies 2-3 years old

not registered, no shots, not wormed.......only one looks like a Nigerian Dwarf, but they are all suppose to be Nigerican Dwarfs....

Wanting to know what they are worth?

I am not selling, looking to buy...

Any advice would be great, thanks!!

Nicole:)

Our Nigerian Dwarf wethers were two for $75, but they were registered (not that it matters with wethers) and had their shots.

Edited to change dot to not.

Thank you...yea she is asking $300 but said she would take offers....and I was no way paying $300 for them.......

Thanks..I am still not sure how much I am wanting to pay for them..any more info would be great

With absolutely not shots or worming I would talk her down. Are they Dwarf or Pygmy. I just sold my Pygmy does for $60 each and the Buck for $50 because he throws beautiful babies. But mine were all vaccinated, wormed and probably re-bred.

holy he11 people! Can we say ruthless?

Sorry, but you are ripping people off wanting to buy adult does for $20.

Do you have any idea the amount of time and feed that goes into growing these animals out?

To give a rough estimate, $1 per day per goat just to feed them.

Now, there are a range of factors that come into play, age you are selling them at - kids havent had as much investment into them, but you will breed from them longer, aged does wont breed much longer etc.

But honestly, give the breeder a bit of respect. I think $20 a goat is insulting, really.

$300 is a very good price for 4 breeding age goats and I would be happy to pay that price.

I paid $250 - $300 each for my young registered does and then had to raise them to breeding age. I can't imagine that being unregistered makes them virtually worthless. For $300 you would be getting a flock ready to breed and start producing kids which you could sell for income.

I agree, I think $300 is more than fair and to offer less would be looking to take advantage.

I think it probably depends on the goat, the breeder, and where you are. I doubt there is any really set price.

Don't know much about goats, but that just makes common sense.
