Looks like the back goose is an American Buff white one is Embden and grey one is Toulouse now saying that can you get a good front view pics of all three that will help with sexing and does the white have any grey at all on it?
The white bird is fully white. It has blue eyes if that matters any. I read something about blue eyes and sexing but I can't recall what breed that pertains to. I'm up for a front facing photo challenge tomorrow. The grey bird may make it difficult. It's quite adamant about it's dislike of everyone/everything in the known universe and hisses and screams like a maniac every time I get near. The other 2 get riled up but never hiss and don't seem to mind me much if I happen upon them without their loud mouthed friend. They are so much fun to watch and it would be nice if they changed their minds about wanting to be my friend.
You have a Buff a Toulouse and an Embden the lift of the head on your Toulouse makes me think gander especially when you said about the voice. The other 2 I am just not sure, Watch this and tell me what you think...
Thanks for the help everyone. After sitting still for quite a while I managed to get just this one front facing pic before the dogs got them going. Miss Lydia my buff bird does look like your buff from what I can tell. The ducks in the first pic are from their original home and they were very sweet as well as beautiful. One of the reasons cited for their eviction was the mistreatment of those ducks by the geese. About 6 ducks, 3 geese and 2 or 3 chickens were crammed into a small 4X4 enclosure together. They have been here free ranging on 1/3 acre with 23 chickens, 2 ducks, a guinea, and a turkey without a serious incident. Once they tried to chase the ducks but the turkey (who is a very effective peace officer and wanna be duck) stepped in to stop it. They have never challenged any of the other birds but do mouth off when a yard mate gets too close.
