Goose pulling ganders feather

I'm working on making my gander ..he started getting aggressive with me 3 times now. My question is, my female was pulling his feathers (as is she was telling him to stop) when he was trying to attack me.. that sounds so violent. They both are same age raised them since they were week old. She's laying he's not breeding her rougly 6-7 mo old. Any idea why she was doing that?...after I made him stop she came back to me wanting attention as though nothing had happened.

Are you sure she’s a female? She could have just been scolding him, they sometimes do that.
