Hi all!

I let my runners out this morning and as soon as Daisy came down the ramp she pooped the greenish poop in the picture below.

Is this anything to be worried about? She seems to be acting normal otherwise.

@sarahc63 Anything new added to their diets latey veggies etc?

I know a poop expert here on BYC @casportpony

Nope, nothing new in their diets! I usually stick with peas, tomatoes, and occasionally mealworms, but I have never seen this color of poop before!

My ducks do forage around the yard every day, so it's possible she might have gotten into something.

The only other unusual thing I noticed is that she did not lay for the day. She has skipped a day a couple times in the past, but not recently.

No pumping of the back end or laying around more than normal hard to catch a Runner laying down for long { I have them too} Hopefully nothing to do with not laying since she seems active. How old is she? Not unusual for them to take off laying too as you have already seen. I have 7 layers in that group of Runners and usually only get 4-6 eggs a day so someone is always taking a day or 2 off.

Just found the egg! She went in and out of the duck house about four times, but no egg each time I checked. I just watched her lay it in the mud where she was foraging. It went pretty smooth, didn't seem to be struggling to push it out at all.

She is about 8 1/2 months old.

I've been trying to find another green poop but I haven't seen one yet.

Great news about the egg. hopefully it's nothing to be concerned about and just normal poop. Mine have so many different kinds of poop it's not funny.
