(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We are in the midst of preparing to get our first chickens and are trying to learn all we can about raising them.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Currently, we have no chickens but hope to purchase 8-10 in the very near future.
(3) What breeds do you have?
To be determined. We are mainly looking for egg layers.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
We are looking forward to a new challenge and hopeful for the eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love gardening (vegetable and flower), reading, researching/learning new things, and playing the piano.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a family of seven. We have 7 cats and one dog. I am an administrative assistant. We live in a small village.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
