I'm really happy to have found such a wealth of information on a forum. I look forward to meeting everyone and learning from you all!
I come from a farming background but now live in a small rural village. I kept free range chickens many many years ago but I know times change, so I'm here to learn. I've been keeping/breeding exotic finches (australian, african and indo pacific) for some years now and recently acquired a few chinese painted quail. I'm totally enamoured with them and hopefully this summer will be ready to house some coturnix quail and perhaps a silkie or two. I started browsing your site looking at coop designs. My finches have two extensive outdoor aviaries where they spend the summer, so this would be a completely separate project
