I have 2 Brinsea Mini Advance incubators. Set them up yesterday afternoon.
One of them (our older one.... 2013? 14?) at plug in.... and then when the auto turn occurs.... makes this awful grinding/sqealing noise.
When I went to investigate, one of screws had rusted and there was some condensation on the tray below where the gear sits to lock into the tray.
I slipped a piece of paper, and then card stock between the gear and the housing... it didn't go in smoothly the whole way around which suggested to me that there was some kind of crud inhibiting the spin of the gear. After the card stock, the paper went in and out without issue. Using a can of air and a flashlight.... cant see anything that would cause it on that end.
Has anyone had this experience and/or know what to do? Playing phone tag with the tech at brinsea right now.
