I seem to remember my first round of chicks being less rowdy. The also didn't seem to start feathering out until they were about 3 to 4 weeks. I understand breeding can affect the rate thing happen, but jeezze. I have 10 female sex link chicks that were "hatched Feb 4. They are about 2 weeks old. I noticed that their feathers seem to be growing in rather quickly. The girls have a disheveled appearance. Is this a "breed" thing? 5 are Blue and 5 are Black.

3 Brahmas, 1 BCM and 5 wynadottes
I know the first 4 are slower developing birds.

The first were on grower feed and these are on 20% all flock

It's not a big deal, just surprising. They are getting that juvenile look when they molt and look a mess.

This is Freddy. 8 days old. Look how pretty this Lil one is. Any breed or gender info you all can add would be appreciated.
