Growth/tumor? Something on Quail's Head

So, one of my hens has had this little growth on her head. And I just noticed today that there is a hole in the skin, and underneath its black, and looks like matted hair.... bird doesn't seem to be in distress, even when it's touched.

Wondering if anyone has any thoughts as to what it is, or experience with something like this.

Unless she suffered a recent injury my only guess is a tumor.

That's my thought too. Hasn't been any injury.
