Guinea Genetics, pied or royal purple?

I have two female pearl grey females and wanted to get them some mates. I bought two supposedly pied keets and I bought some hatching eggs that are royal purple and white.

My question is how do you tell the royal purple from the pied as keets. I plan on selling a few and I don’t want to sell the pied as royal purples.

It depends on what the pied keets are. If they are pied pearls, they will have a solid center stripe on the tops of their heads. The Royal Purples will have squiggly lines on the top of their heads.

Pied Royal Purples would have the white on the sides of their heads go higher up the sides of the heads making the color on the top of their head narrower than those that are Royal Purples.
