So, we have had Mae in our house for several months since she went blind. She is approximately 9 yrs old so we never expected to get anymore eggs from her, especially since we had to nurse her back to health when we brought her up here due to being blind she couldn't stand or walk, but now that she is back to being healthy, she's doing great, still a house chicken. But we got up this morning and she had left us a Thanksgiving present.... Tiny as it is, it brought tears to my eyes as if she was thanking us for taking care of her. ❤️ BTW, we switched her over to all flock crumble since I never expected her to ever lay again.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We have a blind house chicken too. I wrote about here recently here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/fuzzis-chicken-journal.1550586/post-28152839

For some reason I can't find the link to edit this post so I'm just going to add this to the comments. Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, Mae Gave us an adorable little fairy egg. First egg she has laid since she came up to the house several months ago. Today, Tuesday, 5 days later she just gave us another adorable little fairy egg, this time less than half the size of the first one. As adorable as they are, should I be concerned that at her age of 9 years young, she is still laying or laying these tiny eggs.
