It is not thin enough to hang themselves, but it is so the hatching chicks do not play soccer with the eggs, and when they are hatching the egg gets more purchase, and doesn't just rock back and fourth. It also keeps the eggs from touching the incubator walls. The walls would cool the developing egg.Ok, what's up w/ the string/rope?
Mine would have hung themselves
Huh! Never heard that one! Makes sense. It is not thin enough to hang themselves, but it is so the hatching chicks do not play soccer with the eggs, and when they are hatching the egg gets more purchase, and doesn't just rock back and fourth. It also keeps the eggs from touching the edges.
