Hatching

I have chicks hatching now. The first one was dead. Not sure if it got laid on and smashed. I’ve removed the next two. When they are all done hatching can I put them back with mom? They do have water, chick starter and I scrambled an egg for them.

Yes, mom should take them back. I wouldn't give the egg though as then you'll have to get them some grit. I'd stick with water and starter for their first few weeks if she doesn't take them.

It's not unusual for new moms to step on and kill a chick, sad though.
