Chicken Gem is still with us with some quality of life. We went to the vet today and confirmed a heart murmur and we were prescribed furosemide 6.25mg tablets, given 2x/day. She weighs 3 pounds 11oz. The vet also mentioned another med that we'll have to order to help with heart contractions. I don't have her follow-up email yet, but when I do I'll post more details. It seems chicken dosings are an experimental science, so please share your experiences if you have any. I know we don't have much time left with her, but I'd love for her to have one great chicken day outside when the weather warms up.
