Browsing other peoples pictures in the What Breed or Gender Section can help you familiarize yourself on the comb and wattle growth of chicks and what to look for. They may not be RIR, but the same rules will apply (mostly).

Yes. Here are some examples from other members.
This chick is probably 4-5 weeks old and is male. See how big his comb is?

Here are some 8 week old females. Notice that their combs are smaller than the 4-5 week old cockerel in the other thread.

Okay so not at 3 weeks. I have to wait til older. I was wanting to see signs at 3 weeks. If there isn't any, okay. But I'm asking about 3 week old RIRs.Generally speaking yes. I would also add red combs to that. In most cases the roos combs will be red and bigger faster than hens.
Yeah your best bet is to wait another week or 2. Although as I and another person have said combs and wattles are a good indicator and generally reliable it is not a 100% fool proof. Sometimes at 3 weeks you can kinda begin to get an idea if you have lots of experience. With sexing chicks it really is waiting game to be 100% sure. I know your eager but give them a little more time then things will be more developed and easier to tell.Okay so not at 3 weeks. I have to wait til older. I was wanting to see signs at 3 weeks.
