Help determining sex of quail

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to get some help determine the sex of my 2 quail that are around 8 weeks old. I initially suspected they were both male but have tried doing the foam test multiple times and nothing comes out. Please see attached photos.

The last one is a male. The other one isn’t feather sexable.

The second one is male based on his brown head. If vent sexing isn't working, you will need to wait for the other one to start crowing or laying to tell.

Vent sexing is tough, most especially in a sexually immature bird, once they are laying eggs or crowing easy peasy but until then, yeah. That’s why your Italian is nice, feather sexable!
