Born June 19.
Born from eggs dipped in Tylan. No known exposure to other birds. In a newly build pen, has not free ranged. Feeding grower pellets.

Went to feed the babies and this little cockerel seems off so I isolated him. Next day I have a polish pullet acting the same.

Puffy, droopy wings, watery poop with dark green center, no respitory symptoms.. started him on amprolium 9.6 % two days ago and he seems worse. Now he's walking horizontal and putting his head on the floor to fall asleep. Help!

When coccidiosis is suspected, amprolium treatment is called for. When the sick chickens do not seem to respond to it, then adding a sulfa antibiotic to the amprolium is warranted since bacterial infection of the intestines often accompanies coccidiosis. You will probably need to ask your vet for this since it's very difficult to buy it without a prescription.

Your other alternative is to use a broad spectrum antibiotic that you can buy without a prescription. Here is where I get it. https://www.kvsupply.com/item/aqua-mox-250mg-capsules-100-count/P06184/

Thank you for your reply. This little boy got to a point where he was pretty much lifeless. Started administering water with amprolium by syringe every hour or so and by the evening brought him back from the dead. One by one others in the group started showing the same signs. Hanging head, puffy, loss of coordination/ unwilling to walk. One by one I'd bring them in and syringe them the water and within a day they would improve. Kept them on amprolium for 7 days. Now a low dose for 2 weeks.
