I need some advice. I have a duck egg that has pipped, but hasn’t made it in progress. Should I help it. ??? it’s almost been 24 hours. I can see it still breathing.

Is this an external or internal pip?
After the external pip, the duckling may rest and continue to absorb the yolk for 24-48 hours before zipping. Ducklings are typically very slow hatchers, try not to worry too much. It would be very dangerous to start intervening now, as there is likely a lot of blood vessels and yolk left.

If you're talking about an internal pip (no crack in the shell yet), then that's different and may require a tiny air hole in the air cell area of the shell.

can you perhaps get a picture? i've hatched duck eggs before, once (but in that time, I got LOTS of experience from it). It might help me to figure out

i learned that Ducks and Chicken incubating is similar but not the same, but. Just like Chicks, when they pip. They rest for like 6 hours, before making more progress. It might depend what breed you have. As, if the Breed is like a Indian Road Runner. Which are Long and Big ducks, they might have longer resting times
