First time incubating and it's day of lock down! One of the eggs slipped outta my hand and hit the floor. The egg shell broke badly but the membrane is still intact! But I felt so f-ing terrible, I literally started crying cause I probably killed this baby. I picked up the egg gently and it started moving. I call my partner who did research and we put light layer of white wax on it. I know at this point the chances are slim for survival. But did we do the right thing? The pictures are before wax and after.

Please no harsh words. I'm already beating myself up.

It might be okay. :fl I would have covered the membrane with coconut oil and just put it back in the incubator, but maybe the wax will work the same way. I hope it hatches!

I didn't know about the coconut oil. 😭I really hope it makes it! But if not trust me I take full responsibility for their life.
