I bought several straight run bantams at a feed store. They are 10 weeks old. I've been able to identify most but have 2 I'm unsure about. The feed store's posters are not much help as these chickens are not pictured on them...
The white bird I wonder if it's a white Japanese bantam? And the "multi" bird, the closest picture I could find on hatcheries' websites is a male silver duckwing Phoenix, but I can't believe I'd get one of those in the bin at a feed store. The multi is noticeably smaller than all the other birds we bought with it, including an old english game female.
Neither bird has been caught crowing (the male cochin bantie we bought with them has been crowing for weeks) but they both have sizeable combs. This morning I was watching the birds and the cochin rooster picked up something and did the clucking to call hens and the multi bird came right over and ate it. So I have no clue if I have more than just the one cochin rooster or what... The other birds are not behaving like roosters. Yet=)
Thanks!
