Yesterday I let my girls out of their run to free range in our orchard and noticed one girl - Sweetie - was less energetic than usual. Had to be prodded back into the run. Today my husband discovered her not moving, head hanging, not eating or drinking. Brought her up to the house and gave her some water via dropper with tetracycline and electrolytes. What else should I do??

Your PCP is of a turkey. Is the sick one a turkey, a chicken, or ? How old is it? Is it a layer? When's the last time it laid? What do you feed, including treats? Can you check its crop first thing in the morning before it has access to food or water to see if it has completely emptied overnight? Do you provide crushed granite grit 24/7 so they can help themselves to it for digestion?

My girl is a chicken. She is about 1.5 yrs old. I have 14, so I don't know exactly when she last laid, but we did get one very small (quail size) egg this yesterday. Her crop was completely empty this morning and all she has taken is the fluids. She is hanging in there, but is sleeping and has to be forced to take liquids (btw, don't know how I got a turkey for my PCP????)

Do you have photos of her and her poop?

Working on hydration is very good. I'd also give her Extra Calcium now, then once daily for a few day.
She may be having a hard time expelling an egg.

Give 1 Calcium Citrate with D3 once daily for a week.
