While watering my silkies one of the mice nests in their pen got flooded & out popped 4 mice that are approx a little under 2 weeks. I cant get to the store till around 4, & I was wondering if there was something else I could give them till then? When I bred rats I used plain soy milk mixed with a little bit of Ensure, which im out of & need to buy, but im not sure about what else I can use. I have lactating mares & goats that I can milk or I have foal milk replacer & plain cow milk from the store. Would any of these work?

you really need kittens milk replacement.
dilute the milk in the same amount of water extra that what it calls for.

other milk will be to hard for baby mice to digest.

look at these links. they really helped me .
I used a paint brush, but then again my orphans were only a day old.

When I was about 16 years old, my neighbor found a nest of "pinkie" mice, no fur eyes still shut etc, I took 2% cows milk and mixed it with a little bit of honey and dipped pieces of bread in it for them to chew/ suck on. They all started sucking right away and I eventually started crumbling the bread up in the milk honey mixture and putting in the top of a milk carton lid for them to eat...

They all grew up happy and strong and I didn't lose a single one!

wow thats great!

how are they?
All 4 are hanging strong. 3 girls & 1 boy I think. Until I get a feeding tube from my vet to use as a teat im using a 1ml syringe & so far everyone has licked some of the milk. The male hasnt as much, but ive gotten some down him. Pretty sure all have used the restroom. My place is turning into an animal nursery lol.

WhiteMountainsRanch thanks for the idea
