HELP with breeds and gender on Rare Assortment birds?!!

My birds are 8 weeks and I’m thinking, we are going to have one rooster(what do you think)...but it was Rare assortment, so I’m still not 100% on breeds either. I think I have a barred rock (Rooster) and 1 cuckoo feather footed maran....and 1 spotted hen (not sure of breed) and solid black ones with grey/blackish legs and feet... help please! Thanks!!!

You’re right about the BR cockerel. The rest look pullets (cuckoo marans). Regarding the black ones they could be Black Australorps or Jersey Giant? The difference would be the bottom of their feet (the pad itself) white=black australorp; yellow=jersey giant. Pullets!!

I bought them from ‘The Chick Hatchery’ I know, I was a pretty disappointed when we started being able to tell what they were turning into... and 5 died and I was only reimbursed for 2. Needless to say my personal experience wasn’t that pleasant, I ordered more from cackle hatchery with all of those girls alive and well!

So just a update! My girls and guy are now 12 weeks old and I’m still unsure about the breed of 1 little hen. We call her Dottie any ideas?

Pretty little Cuckoo Marans, without a doubt. And not the French variety, either.

Thank y’all so much for the help! She is our favorite girl! I’ve never heard anything about his breed before, and she’s such a calm and sweet little hen! We have the feather footed variety and she’s the opposite! Haha much more skittish! Thanks everyone!
