Hi all;
Long time forum lurker, first time poster ;-)
I was hoping for some help with color genetics. I crossed a Crested Cream Legbar roo with an (I'm pretty sure EE, not Ameracauna) hen and in the hopes of reinforcing the blue egg and production genes. I was hoping someone would be able to tell me for sure what color this hen

xlink in any way so I can sex them. I'll be keeping the chicks if they're pullets to see what they lay. :)

Your hen is an EE. With EEs they can be any color/pattern or any mix of colors/patterns.
You couldn't know what all she has that isn't showing.
She appears to have one copy of dominate white so she could produce white or mostly white chicks.
I don't see any way they would be sex linked.
Your CCL is going to pass on one gene for barring so all chicks with have barring.
From pics I'm curious what color eggs those are?

- Thanks so much for your input :) The eggs are a sage green color - hopefully this will show the color better:

That would also confirm that she is an EE. Ameraucanas lay only blue eggs.
Your rooster will pass a blue egg gene to all his offspring but since your hen carries some brown egg genes I would expect all or most of her chicks getting at least some of her brown egg genes so they'll lay green eggs also.

Reinforcing the blue egg an production genes on the EEs? Or on the Legbars? As far as I know EEs are not a breed and may not be as productive as cream legbars.

Would you be kind enough to elaborate more on the crossing project's goal?

Sorry if my original post was vague - thanksfor your question...I plan on keeping these crosses as replacements/additions to my EE flock. I love my EE girls, but they are not nearly as consistent layers as I would like. Matilda (the hen I'm crossing) is my best layer. She usually lays a big, pretty sage green egg at least 5 days a week. She is also one of my friendliest and hardiest hens. My end goal is to use the Legbar blood to reinforce/improve the production rate in the EE offspring, and to add another copy of the blue egg gene to the mix so I hopefully improve the odds for lighter green/blue-green eggs. The Legbars are fine as they are :)
