Unfortunately this is the only image I have as these are not my ducks, someone I know just knows I have ducks and wanted my input, but I haven’t seen a duck sit like this before. He’s only able to walk a couple steps before collapsing and can’t seem to stand at all from the video she sent me. She said this has been getting progressively worse over the course of about 5 days. I asked her to check his feet for signs of infection, but she said they look normal. I don’t know how true that is. He is only a little over two months old. If anyone knows what this might be/needs me to ask her questions for more context let me know. Poor boy is obviously in pain and I don’t know how to help him.

She said he keeps wing-walking as well. I just asked her and she said she’s been putting Niacin in their pool, now I’m worried he’s overdosed.

Just in case, I would immediately start supplementing with Vitamin B12.
B complex 1 ml daily until the duckling is up walking normally IMG_2678 2.jpeg then a week longer after that. She can try giving it to him over a small amount of treat or by mouth https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...dications-to-all-poultry-and-waterfowl.73335/
another thing is warm water therapy this will take pressure off the legs and help him build strength in his legs as the B complex starts to work.

Putting niacin in water dilutes it too much I doubt he is overdosed. especially if she has been putting it in the pool which is alot of water, I hope she gets the liquid B complex before he is completely lame and eventually, he will lose his life. :(
