Hi my polish gets picked on and I have to separate her this morning I noticed her doing this (see below) and she was falling asleep standing and her head was falling forward I’ve seen her drink some water and yesterday she was totally fine. All the chicks just recently had cocci and were fully treated and the only difference is they’ve gotten some outside time lately. When I put her on with all the others she walks around but it still constantly puffing her feathers

Are you providing grit for their age since they are going out in the yard? They need some if eating grass, bugs, or foods other than chicken crumbles. I raised 2 polish in a mixed flock, and they occasionally would get their head feathers pecked out. If I caught it in time, BluKote spray would stop them from scalping. Make sure that the others are not keeping her from food and water. Offer some mushy chicken feed and cooked egg. How much Corid did you use for treatment. Is her poop nirmal?

yes! I give grit! They did a full dose, got poultry cell and then a half dose two week later- her poops are normal! I keep her separated out when I am not supervising because they immediately pick on her so she has her own food and water. She drank a little bit - couldn’t get her to eat anything o just brought her outside and she walked and packed around but still looked like she was breathing and puffing out her feathers? I do have blue kote- should I spray on her bald head? Idk if she’s sad she is alone?

I would use the BluKote if her head is bald. It wears off, and may need to be applied every 2-3 days. Make sure that it doesn’t attract more pecking. I always had good luck with it.

Do you think she’s lonely? And puffing her feathers out of stress? She seemed totally normal outside. I do put the other polish with her sometimes so she’s not alone

Is her poop normal or runny? I would be tempted to treat again for coccidiosis with a smaller dose. That is 1/4 of the earlier dose. Make a small bowl of wet chick feed with the Corid water. Could you keep her next to the others for company but still separate? How old are these pullets?

She had normal ones - and when outside she had one that was a poop but also had like an egg white liquid look to it? 6/7 weeks old
