Me either so why was askingYeah it’s male, maybe you have a confused rooster. Or maybe it’s normal, I haven’t had many roosters.
Dancing has many meanings other then wanting to mate. Dancing is sometimes a Hello, other times it's a show of Dominance, Dancing is also used as Threat, or to challenge another to a Fight.
Some hens/pullets will do the dance, but I've only seen feisty, or dominant hens display the behavior though.
