Hen or Roo?

I believe this is a gold laced Wyandotte. About 7 weeks old. My husband just came to me and said I think we have a roo. I think hen!

I think you're husband maybe right. Along with the dark comb I also see wattles starting to develop. I'm still new, but like to guess

I think pullet. Her feather pattern is super even, unlike a cockerel's, which would be patchy. Wyandotte pullets also tend to redden up early, and love to confuse people into thinking they're boys

Pullet. Her comb is pink, yes, but it is not at all suggesting male to me. Sometimes girls pink up early.

She looks just like (less red in the face even!) my Golden Laced Wyandotte pullet at that age.
