Yesterday our red sexlink hen, Miss Tiger, was completely fine in the morning and acting normal, although has had runny poop off an on for a week or two. By late afternoon she was falling asleep standing up in the yard as well as in my son's lap. This morning when I got up to let the girls out I found she had passed away during the night. We really aren't sure what went wrong. At first we thought she was getting ready to molt because she stopped laying eggs, but her feathers looked normal. We have a very small flock (4 girls) and keep their coop very clean. Two of our girls are full blown molting and all but one have stopped laying eggs for the time being. Not knowing what happened to Tiger we are now worried about our other girls. Our Americauna has had watery poop and then a little mucous-y over the last week or so, and had been acting lethargic. She had a limp a couple days ago and had a hard time getting on her roost that night. She doesn't have blood in her stool or around her vent. This is the first time we've raised chickens and the first molt we've experienced so I'm not sure what's normal. I'm currently adding garlic and ACV to their water...should it be changed daily, or a couple times per week? They have always had layer feed but would making an oatmeal and all flock mash be good for them as well? We are a very sad today and just want to make sure the rest of our girls are healthy...any advice and/or thoughts are greatly appreciated. :(

I'm so sorry you lost one of your girls. :hugs Water with any additives should be changed daily, and fresh water with no additives should be simultaneously offered. Have you considered having a necropsy on the one who passed? That would tell you what you are dealing with.
