Hi, yesterday I noticed a hen closing her eyes on/off and not holding her wings up completely. I checked for water belly, crop issues, egg bound, mites or anything in her feathers. I don’t see anything. She is eating all snacks I bring out and hanging out with her flock.
I did add 3, 15 week old pullets on Wed to the crew. They lived side by side since April 20th. Wondering if she could be stressed with the youngins being there?
I changed them to all flock feed instead of a layer feed, until the littles are ready to eat it. Got worried it was the food and gave them a feeder if the old feed, netrena feather fixer.
I have her 1cc of rooster booster last night a scrambled egg and worms and she ate it all.

Any advise would be appreciated. Another seasoned chicken friend (that seems wrong, haha) came to look at her and she couldn’t find anything either.

No other younger ones are exhibiting anything wrong? I'd almost have though coccidiosis but it's odd for an older chicken to get that, especially if a younger one didn't have it to spread. Her poops have been okay?

Have you ever wormed them? I never have mine but if it's not coccidiosis, then it might be that.

Perhaps try some probiotics in case she's having crop or stomach issues due to a change of feed. That may help. There's yogurt or powders you put in their water. We use Hydro-Hen.

No everyone is happy and normal. The teenagers have normal poops with some lining shed but nothing like cocci. Her poops are a darkish green. I think I have a packet of probiotic. I have to see if it’s expired as I bought it when they were babies in August of 2022. Of course I can’t seem to find my hydro-hen. May be off to tractor supply.

Also, I have never wormed them. I have never had a reason to.
