Hello, this morning I found one of my Buff Orpington’s with one side of her face very swollen. She does not have any discharge, sneezing and she’s eating and moving around just fine.. any advice on how to move forward with something like this? Thank you!

Watch for any bubbles or foam in the eye. Could she have been stung?
I will keep a watch on her eye. She very well could have been stung. She was free ranging yesterday afternoon and her face was fine then.

Check in her mouth for anything odd, and check her ear for an infection.
I will definitely check her mouth & ear! Thank you.

Nothing odd in her mouth and her ears are clean. No discharge from her nose or eyes and she’s acting completely normal. Is there something I could give her/do to help with the swelling? Thank you!!

I put Terramycin in and around her eye, which definitely helped with some of the swelling. She didn’t develop any other symptoms so I assume it was just a sting/bite of sorts. I hope that helps your roo!
