I have two mini australian shepherds that would really benefit from some herding. However, we don't really have anything within a few hours that offers duck herding, and sheep would be out of the question for these two. So, next year I'm going to get a few of our own ducks.
The problem is, I don't want to just stick some ducks outside and take care of them enough that they survive and keep them fairly flighty. I will want to raise them and keep them friendly and occasionally diaper them and bring them inside. Is there a way to to not completely desensitize both the dogs and the ducks?
