I'm a newbie but I've had my girls since March 2018.
I didn't want them but my husband wanted fresh eggs everyday. So we got chicks (15) two died after a couple of days. Down to 13. My husband built a beautiful run and coop. Then my husband was diagnosed with late stage colon cancer. He passed 9/18. He never even got to have a fresh egg from his girls. . So here I am. He knew everything, I know very little. Just recently had another one die, mysteriously. The twelve remaining are healthy and laying like crazy.
So that's me. I live in Colorado in the foothills. I'm retired from USPS as of 1/1/20!
