Hi LynneI'm a 2 year chicken mom from the Shenandoah Valley. I currently have 5 hens as I lost one to a preditor last month. I wish my town allowed more.
Maybe see if you can check online on what the rules are for your area. I'm a conspiracy theorist and wouldn't want to call for them to know my number/location, in case only a small amount of chickens were allowed. The only reason to check is that it only takes 1 stinky person in the area.Hi Lynne, I'm Knobby. I've lost quite a few of my flock to predators. The first couple of times are the hardest to get over, but then I realized that the predators are doing what comes naturally for them. The best that we can do is to try and make it harder on them. Anyways, welcome!!! Is there a limit on the number of chickens you can have? I really haven't checked with my area ruling body, but I've seen numerous others with flocks in the 100s.
