Hiccups and yells

I can’t figure it out, my 3 year old hen is laying eggs and eating and drinking but then making this very loud yell. I don’t know if she is sick or what, but our neighbors are getting angry.
Please anyone help

Hens can be pretty loud if they want to. I have a hen who used to hiccup and yell and I could hear her all the way from the house.

Were you ever able to make her stop?

She doesn't yell as much since I have moved her into the garage with the rooster. She hasn't hiccuped since then either. I couldn't pinpoint a specific reason, though. It's just something that hens will do, I suppose.

Like, a very loud high-pitched hiccup. My hen would do it when she ate. She would also cluck very loudly, like a yell. Almost as if she was scared, but she's not.

I don't know what she would have been scared of. There was never anything back there except the rooster and it was always in broad daylight.

Shadows flying over, squirrels, Birds, Cat?...Anything can set a threat call off..
