How can I legally sell chicks/eggs in Texas?

Hi all. I'm wanting to expand my customers but I'm not sure how. I would like to have my eggs at the local grocery store, and also be able to ship chicks. I read you're required to be NPIP certified for this, but how can I get certified if the A&M website says there is an outage of PT antigen in the United States? Does this waive the requirement, so anyone can ship?

Are you planning on selling from your home or some place other than your home?

No...the PT antigen shortage does not mean anyone can ship any where.

Technically nobody can ship as this "shortage" has been going for a year now. Only the large scale businesses are being tested. Why and how something so basic to ensuring healthy poultry is not being made is beyond me. Was there only a mom and pop factory making it for the world and it burnt down? Something is not right in Denmark.

Hi, thanks for replying. I don't sell from home. I do more of the "meet me in a parkin lot". So how are so many people still shipping eggs if they can't be tested? I've contacted my local county on farmers market rules too and am waiting for their response.
