How can I make my pullets as friendly as possible?

I have pullets (all different breeds) who are about 6 weeks old. They are living outside and every day I will go out there and sit with them, sometimes giving them treats. When I walk up to the run they get super excited. I avoid picking them up a lot because it is scary for them, but when I sit in their run, they will jump all over me. My goal is to have hen's who will like to jump up on my lap and be easy to hold. Are there any other way's that I can get the friendliest hen's possible?

The breeds I have are: Gold Laced Wyandotte, Dark Brahma, Cuckoo Maran, Lavender Orpington, Black Australorp, and Olive Egger.

Just hold them daily or sit with them a lot! If you don't want to hold them, sit with them, then when you think they are ready, pick them up. Some chickens will just be less friendly, but they seem nice!

Also, this may not be relevant to you, but all 7 of my OEs have been very flighty and hate to be picked up. So if they seem that way, you can try to hold them more, or you can not and let them be a little wild! GL Wyandottes are one of my favorite breeds and all of those chickens have been very friendly with little effort!

Thanks for the advice! My Brahma doesn't care at all if I pick her up, she is super calm! My OE is a little flighty (and an escape artist!) but she will still hop onto my lap. My Black Australorp (I think I forgot her in the list above) HATES to be held and I think she is my flightiest pullet. The rest are kind of middle of the road, except for my Brahma who is super docile.
